Forty years ago, a group of voices came together in South Dallas with a simple but soaring vision: to preserve, celebrate, and amplify the rich traditions of Black choral music. Four decades later, the South Dallas Concert Choir (SDCC) stands as a cultural cornerstone — a community of artists whose performances have moved audiences, whose outreach has shaped neighborhoods, and whose steadfast commitment to excellence has built a legacy that echoes across generations.
